MIMETAS is looking for an enthusiastic colleague to join our team in Leiden, the Netherlands. In this position, you will be working in the bioproduction and development unit for our expanding OrganoReady® product line that integrates the latest Organoid and MIMETAS chip technology. You will operate within a team of technicians, scientists, and commercial-facing roles that bring cutting-edge scientific products to researchers around the world.
MIMETAS disrupts 21st-century drug development by bringing organ-on-a-chip-based human disease models to the core of drug research. We leverage our OrganoPlate® platform for drug discovery and development. MIMETAS markets her technology in risk-sharing collaborations, services, and product solutions to pharmaceutical companies and research institutes across the globe. Our headquarters are in Leiden (NL) with branches in Enschede (NL), Tokyo (Japan), and Gaithersburg (MD, US).
Maintenance of cell cultures: cryopreservation, thawing, expanding of different cell lines;
Organoid generation: Tissue processing, expansion and banking;
Production and planning of OrganoReady® units including cell and microfluidic chip preparation, quality control and logistics;
Collaborate with the Organoid product development team including engineers and biologists;
Assays: Performing viability, barrier integrity, TEER assays;
Actively working on safety in the laboratories;
Contributing to general lab duties including cleaning, stock management, SOP and Batch record documentation.
You have a degree in Biotechnology or Life Science Technology (MLO or HLO);
preferably hands-on experience with Organoid or alternative 3D cell cultures;
Motivated, flexible, and positive work attitude;
Collaborative team spirit and good communication skills;

You speak and write proficiently in English.
